Unconventional Vehicles require registration in the City of Scranton

All unconventional vehicles operating on City roads and streets need to be registered with the City of Scranton beginning Friday, August 9th, 2024.

A City Police Officer will be at the City Offices (120 W. Boone) starting at 9:00 am on Friday, 08/09/2024 until 5:00 pm (and on subsequent Fridays) to facilitate the registration process. This will include:
1. A $25 Fee
2. Completing an application
3. An Inspection which will require:
      a. A proof of registration
      b. A proof of current insurance on that vehicle
      c. A factory-approved muffler
      d. A valid driver’s license

Unconventional vehicle inspections will be held on Fridays ONLY!!!

If you have a current registration with another town, you do not need to register with the City of Scranton, but it must be a current registration.
